2nd Mile is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization that was founded in Omaha, Nebraska in 2020. Our purpose is to serve the Omaha, Council Bluffs, and surrounding communities by assisting individuals who are seeking to continue their already established commitment to life change. By providing discipleship, mentorship, and life skill education in conjunction with community engagement and overall wellness, a 2nd mile home strives to build healthier fathers, brothers, and sons that edify communities and glorify God.

To become more Christ-like, we intentionally equip individual believers with the Word of God through an accountable relationship with a more mature Christian.
mentorship
As Paul mentored Timothy, each individual is mentored with the goal of eventually mentoring another.
life skill education
Individuals will learn a range of life skills including money management, healthy relationships, and personal well-being.
biblical principles
All program components and activities are fully aligned with the Word of God.
structured housing
2nd Mile Residences operate in a manner that help individuals learn the principles of successful independent living.
community engagement
Through community outreach and serving in a local church, individuals will learn the value of meeting the physical and spiritual needs of others while bringing glory to God.
2nd Mile is a federally approved 501(c)3, Nebraska non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors comprised of behavioral health professionals, faith-based leaders, business owners, and community advocates.

2ND MILE IS COMMITED TO CREATING MORE HOMES FOR MEN AS WELL AS HOMES AND PROGRAMMING THAT WILL UNITE MOTHERS with THEIR CHILDREN UNDER THE SAME ROOF WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE COMMUNITY AND LOCAL CHURCHES.
